New Lamborghini Temerario replaces Huracan with 907bhp V8 PHEV

Lamborghini Temerario: Ten years after the Lamborghini Huracán was introduced, the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based Italian supercar experts are introducing the Temerario, the Huracán’s replacement. The Temerario, however, swaps the long-running V-10 engine with a V-8 powerplant supported by three electric motors, unlike the Huracán and Gallardo before it. In addition to its updated hybrid drivetrain, the Temerario features a new design that prioritizes everyday usability and aerodynamics. The Temerario’s release has hybridized Lamborghini’s entire portfolio.

The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine at the center of the lamborghini temerario is equipped with a hot-vee configuration, which places the turbos inside the V-shaped cylinder banks. A 3.8-kWh lithium-ion battery powers the e-motors, and Lamborghini was able to shoehorn the battery into the central tunnel to maintain a low center of gravity and optimal weight distribution by locating the gearbox rear of the engine. The battery can be fully charged in 30 minutes at a maximum power of 7 kW using an onboard charger, or it can be directly charged by the combustion engine or through regenerative braking applied to the front wheels.

According to Lamborghini, the Temerario can accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour in 2.7 seconds, with a maximum speed of 213 mph. As per Lamborghini, the torque vectoring technology produces more realistic driving characteristics because it primarily uses the e-motors and only applies the brakes when required.

It also has a set of distinct drive modes: Città, Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Corsa Plus. The volume of the front trunk is around four cubic feet.

The passenger’s side includes a 9.1-inch screen that may provide driving information and vehicle functions, while the driver receives information from a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Although apps can be dragged from the central panel to the displays on either side, the primary entertainment and navigation systems are still accessed through an 8.4-inch screen in the middle of the dashboard.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are supported wirelessly by the infotainment system. In addition, the Lamborghini temerario can be ordered with three cameras, which enables a dash cam integrated into the car and a “Memories Recorder” that lets owners capture up to two minutes of driving. Lamborghini Telemetry 2.0, an onboard application with over 150 circuits loaded in that delivers data when driving on racetracks, is also made possible by the cameras.

The lamborghini temerario will be available in Blu Marinus and Verde Mercurius when it first debuts, but Lamborghini claims that its Ad Personam customizing section will provide over 400 colors and unique liveries. Bridgestone Potenza Sport or Potenza Race tires are paired with three distinct wheel styles, each measuring 20 inches in front and 21 inches at the back. The seats have four distinct stitch patterns and a large selection of colors to choose from, in addition to the option of carbon-fiber trim on the inside and outside.

Lamborghini also designed the Alleggerita package, which is a lighter option with a 55-pound weight reduction. The front splitter, side skirts, and rear lid of the package are made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic; the passenger footrest and door panels are also made of carbon fiber. A different rear glass and side windows made of polycarbonate aid in losing a few extra pounds. Redesigned rear spoiler with increased downforce is another feature of the track-focused package.

Lamborghini has not yet disclosed the Temerario’s starting price or when sales will start. When it goes on market in early 2025, the 2025 lamborghini temerario should retail for about $290,000.
